WHAT IS ADVENTURE RACING?
Adventure racing is a multidisciplinary individual and team sport that involves navigating an unmarked wilderness course via foot, bike, raft, or rope within a set amount of time. Individuals and teams of two or more racers must navigate to provided checkpoint coordinates (or exact map pins) by hiking, running, biking, rafting, and/or rock climbing. Take a peek through our site to learn more About adventure racing and the Rocky Mountain Adventure Series!!
UPCOMING RACES
Race participants travel to checkpoint coordinates via a combination of hiking, running, biking, paddling, and/or climbing. Every race requires navigation (without the use of GPS), but not every race will involve every above mentioned activity. See the key below.
COVID-19 UPDATE
In these uncertain times, RMAS understands the necessity of following guidelines to keep people safe. We are taking all local and federal restrictions into consideration and hope to see you all at our upcoming races. If your have any questions, please Contact Us!
RANKINGS &
PRIZES
For every RMAS adventure race that your team completes in a season, points are accumulated and totaled against other teams. Your team must complete 3 or more races in the same category to qualify for the series rankings. At the end of the season, the top 3 teams receive cash prizes! Please be careful when registering your teams name (both name and spelling) in different races to assure your team points are carried correctly. RMAS won’t be responsible if your team competes under different names.
VOLUNTEER
Any and all assistance is tremendously appreciated and volunteers will get the same swag as racers, plus tons of gratitude from both us and the racers. Volunteering may also earn discounts for future races.
