8-HOUR
ADVENTURE ON YOUR OWN TIME
Adventure On Your Own Time is a good way to get out into the mountains of Colorado to practice adventure racing and explore when you have time and at your own pace.
The 2025 course is open for registration. The AOYOT 2025 course will be open from Jun 21 to August 19, 2025 for RMAS points and takes place in Routt County, Colorado. If you are not concerned about RMAS points, you may do the course anytime, however, maps will not be emailed or mailed out until early June.
This course has biking, trekking, paddling, and navigation. There is an option for boat rental. This course is an 8-hour course with the trekking section taking most of the time and is the most difficult section. The navigation is straight forward with checkpoints along trails or roads.
You may obtain maps for the 2024 course by going to the linked registration page: 2024REGISTRATION
The AOYOT course was in Jackson County, Colorado at State Forest State Park. There is a trekking section, biking section, and paddling section. However, if you do not have access to a boat, you may make the paddling section a trek as well.
