Between your team, you must have these items at all times.
Compass
UTM-min 1:2400 scale
First aid kit (example)
Sharpie/marker
Passports (given at race)
Maps (given at race)
Working cell phone for emergencies
INDIVIDUAL BIKE GEAR
To be carried/used at all times on the bike leg
Off-road bicycle (no road or cyclocross bikes)
Spare inner tube (even if you use tubeless tires)
Bike helmet (CPSC, ANSI, or SNELL certified)
Rear-mounted flashing red light
TEAM BIKE GEAR
To be carried at all times on the bike leg
Bike tool(s)
Tube patch kit (even if you use tubeless tires)
Pump or CO2 inflator
PADDLE GEAR
Non-motorized watercraft for flatwater paddling for the entire team
SUP allowed not recommended
canoe/kayak/Packraft
Type II or III PFD (bring your own)
Paddle
Whistle (accessible while paddling)
Recommended Gear
Gear bins labeled with the team name (1-2 per team)
Climbing harness, climbing shoes, climbing helmet
Beanie, Gloves, Long Sleeve Shirt, Spare SocksBackpack large enough to carry all items
Microspikes, Yaktrax, or any kind of extra “ice traction”

Waterproof container or bag for phone
Dry bag
Map case or plastic bags big enough for maps (maps will be water-resistant, but it’s always nice to not have to worry about it)

Bike lock for locking the bike for the after-party!
Clean clothes to change into after the race
Prohibited Gear
ANY GPS (You can record your race on a device for fitness information afterward. However, you are prohibited to use GPS info or data during the race. This is considered cheating.)
