NEVER SUMMER
Returning for its 9th year, the Never Summer Adventure Race is returning to beautiful Eagle, CO and will take place July 13-14, 2024. In this advanced 24-hour race, teams of 2-4 will stick together to paddle, mountain bike, and trek their way on an unmarked course all while navigating map and compass. We are part of four awesome race series in 2024!
Rocky Mountain Adventure Series: A race series throughout the Rockies aimed at bringing more people into the great sport of Adventure Racing and promoting all of the races in the region. Teams that race multiple RMAS events will accumulate points that can win them the Championship title and a cash prize at the end of the racing season!
USARA Regional Championships: We are one of just ten races around the country that will earn the winners a free spot at the 2024 USARA Nationals in this fall. Nationals usually sells out, so this could be your ticket!
Adventure Racing World Series North American Circuit: This is a collection of the best mid-distance adventure races in the Northern American region. Participating teams earn points toward their North American rankings, as well as a chance for an entry into a lottery for a free entry into the 2025 ARWS World Championships.
Arc’teryx series: Participate in 2 of the 3 races – Genesis, Never Summer, and Battle By The Brook – and qualify to win an amazing Arc’teryx prize! Please notify race directors that you are intending on participating in this series.
All or part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Race Check In: Eagle River Center, Town of Eagle, Colorado
RACE ACTIVITIES
Racers will navigate the unmarked course by hiking/trekking, mountain biking (dirt road/trail), and paddling.
Approximate distances:
Bike 68 miles
Trek 14 miles
Paddle 21 miles
TEAMS
Racers must form teams of 2-4 in order to participate.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Inflatable kayak rentals are available through Timberline Tours. This includes PFD, paddle, and transport of boat.
Note: your credit card will need to be entered in order to make the rental, however, you will not be charged until 2 days prior to the event.

Saturday July 13 9:30-10:00am. Location: Eagle River Center
Boat drop: 9-10am (Location to be given at race check in)
Pre-race meeting: 10:30am Eagle River Center
Race start: 11am
LODGING
Eagle CO has many lodging options including hotels and vacation rentals. However, they do book up quickly for the summer months, so be sure to get your reservations early.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy:
> 2 months before the race date we are able to offer a 75% refund
1-2 months prior to the race date we are able to offer a 50% refund.
3-4 weeks prior to the race date we are able to offer a 25% refund.
Less than 2 weeks prior to the race, no refund is available. We apologize for any inconvenience but at this point, we have paid for all race expenses and have been planning on you attending.
